The Statues on Parade Home
This page is dedicated to the Statues on Parade that were set up around New York City in honor of the 2008 All Star Game, which was held at Yankee Stadium on July 15. A total of 42 were commissioned (in honor of Jackie Robinson) and were painted in the colors of the 30 major league teams (and a second one for the New York Yankees since they hosted the game), the two teams that left New York in 1958, the two current ballparks, the National and American Leagues, 4 in commemoration of the All Star game, and one in honor of the artist himself. I was able to take pictures with my cell phone camera as well as a Fuji disposable camera. The pictures will be downloaded on another page.
